Creating Data Repository

Author: Sheetal Dehadaraya, Software Labs Inc.

Data Repository contains data connections, names of connections and brief descriptions of connections that can be shared among a number of Fusion packs in a system. It provides not only ease of use and convenience when a user need to use the same connections for a different Fusion pack, but also connection data security because the connection data will not be exposed when a Fusion pack is shared and sent over the network.  By adding a connection to a repository, a user will not have to create the same connection for each Fusion pack.

Note: Data Repository allow you to create and store the connection to be shared among all package in the same machine.

To add a data connection to the data repository:

  1. Under Tools, select Repository...

  2. In Repository, right click and select Add Connection.

  3. Once the Create Connection dialog appears, follow the steps to create a desired connection.

  4. Once the connection has been created successfully, you can rename the connection or change (add) the connection description.

  5. To use a connection from a repository, right click on Connections and select New Linked Connection from the menu item. Select the desired Connection ID and click OK.
